As of April 2022, the Huai’an region had an extensive power communication network comprising one 1,000 kV UHV substation, one ±800 kV converter station, three 500 kV substations, 29 substations at 220 kV, 99 substations at 110 kV, and 52 substations at 35 kV, along with more than 420 transmission devices in operation and over 7,000 kilometers of active power optical cable. This large-scale communications infrastructure provides critical support for the safe and stable operation of the power grid, while also placing high demands on day-to-day O&M performance.
