Yanzheng 220 kV Substation is located on Yanzheng Road in Wujin District, Changzhou, and serves as an important hub within the region’s 220 kV power grid. Commissioned in December 2009, the substation is operated and maintained by the Yanzheng Substation O&M Team of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. Changzhou Power Supply Branch.
The substation adopts a semi-indoor layout and is currently equipped with two 180 MVA three-phase autotransformers, with an ultimate plan for three units in total. The 220 kV system includes eight incoming lines and 12 breakers in a double-bus configuration with outdoor fully enclosed GIS. The 110 kV system includes seven outgoing lines and 10 breakers in a double-bus configuration with indoor fully enclosed GIS. The 10 kV system adopts a single-bus sectionalized configuration with four bus sections, 20 outgoing lines, and 39 breakers, together with one 5000 kvar reactor, two 6000 kvar reactors, two 6012 kvar capacitors, three 6000 kvar capacitors, and two grounding transformers.

By deploying an online intelligent inspection system at Yanzheng 220 kV Substation and integrating it with the station’s existing inspection robot, the project enhanced the automated capabilities of the joint inspection system and achieved comprehensive coverage of visual inspections, instrument readings, and oil level monitoring for primary equipment across the entire station. Through data integration, analysis, and alarm functions, the system enables O&M personnel to monitor equipment status in real time, identify fault locations more accurately, speed up fault response, and further improve the precision and intelligence of substation O&M.
