Nantong Hongyanggang 220 kV Substation Online Intelligent Inspection System Project

January 11, 2026

Hongyanggang 220 kV Substation is located in Xinzhuang Village, Beixin Town, Qidong, Nantong, and was officially commissioned in October 2013. It is operated and maintained by the Huilong O&M Team under the Substation Operation and Maintenance Department of State Grid Nantong Power Supply Company.

The substation is currently equipped with one main transformer with a total capacity of 180 MVA. The 220 kV system adopts a double-bus configuration with two transmission lines, while the 110 kV system also uses a double-bus configuration with eight transmission lines. The 10 kV system is arranged with indoor switchgear, includes ten outgoing lines and six capacitor banks, and adopts a single-bus sectionalized configuration.

By deploying an online intelligent inspection system at Hongyanggang 220 kV Substation and integrating it with the station’s existing inspection robot, the project enhanced the automated capabilities of the joint inspection system and achieved comprehensive coverage of visual inspections, instrument readings, and oil level monitoring for primary equipment across the entire station. Through data integration, analysis, and alarm functions, the system enables O&M personnel to monitor equipment status in real time, identify fault locations more accurately, accelerate fault response, and further improve the precision and intelligence of substation O&M.
